About Upward
The FBC Upward Ministry is an exciting evangelical ministry for boys and girls, K-12, that uses basketball and cheerleading to promote salvation, character development, and self-esteem.
Through weekly practices and games, each child is given the opportunity to grow spiritually, physically, and socially as they develop character and an understanding of sportsmanship while also learning the fundamentals of basketball.
History
 Since its beginnings at FBC in the Fall of 2004, Upward Basketball has impacted our community for Christ like we never could have imagined. Through much prayer, focus, and hard work by our many volunteers and staff, the FBC Upward Ministry has quickly become the largest in the state of Tennessee with over 600 players and cheerleaders.
Registration & Schedule
Upward basketball and cheerleading is open to the community for boys and girls kindergarten through high school. Registration and player evaluations take place each fall, with team practices beginning in November. League games are played each Saturday in January and February.
