BAck to School prayer prompts

Parking Lot

  • Ask God to keep the children and parents safe as they travel to and from school.
  • Pray that the Lord would give Christian bus drivers the opportunity to share the gospel with their passengers.
  • Intercede for the families who will be dropping off children who are nervous, anxious, and scared. 

Front Door

  • Pray that God would shield and protect all who enter the school from danger and those who would seek to do evil on campus.
  • Ask the Lord to grant wisdom, favor, and gospel opportunities to the school administrators as they lead their team.
  • Seek the Lord on behalf of immigrant families in our community who will be immersing their children in English-speaking classes.

Classrooms

  • Pray that God would give the faculty and staff great patience and creativity as they lead the children through difficult circumstances.
  • Petition the Lord to give teachers occasions to be lights in the darkness of our world and to be bold in their faith for Christ.
  • Ask God to reduce and/or eliminate discipline issues that might arise in classrooms on campus.

Playground

  • Ask the Lord to use the Christian students of this school to share the gospel with their friends.
  • Pray that deep, meaningful friendships can be formed or strengthened as children play together.
  • Intercede for the children who struggle to build relationships; may God bring Christians into their lives to love and care for them.

Gymnasium

  • Pray that God would grant coaches wisdom and kindness as they instruct their teams. 
  • Petition the Lord to give students a love for Jesus more than a love for sports.
  • Ask God to use teamwork, practice, hard work, victory, and defeat to teach and train children for His glory.

Around Campus

  • Ask the Lord to give wisdom and grace to those who work behind-the-scenes each day (assistants, counselors, office staff, nurses, para-pros, food service staff, IT specialists, groundskeepers, etc). 
  • Pray that truth would be the foundation of all educational endeavors. 
  • Pray that God would protect the hearts and minds of the children and adults from evil influences in our world today.
