Next Gen Ministries Administrative Assistant
1. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
This staff person serves on the Grow Team led by our Grow Pastor under the supervision of the Next Gen Pastor to support the mission and vision of First Baptist Church, Sevierville.
2. PURPOSE
The purpose of this full-time hourly position is to assist the Next Gen Ministries Pastors and Directorswith clerical and administrative assistance allowing streamlined processes within the Next Gen Ministries. The Next Gen Ministries include Preschool Ministry, Kids Ministry, Student Ministry, Girls Ministry, and College Ministry.
3. GENERAL RESONSIBILITES
The person in this position should be willing to and maintain a sense of purpose in supporting and serving behind the scenes with the ability to interact with children, students, and parents
maintaining a servant’s heart for members of the congregation. Discretion must be used at all times when dealing with the business of the Church office and the assigned ministries. The ability to maintain confidentiality is required.

The person in this position is in a working relationship with believers and followers of Christ. Matters of the Church are seen and heard during employment. Spiritual maturity is a necessary attribute in performing the duties and responsibilities of this position. A mutually agreeable relationship with Senior Staff, co-workers, and church members is required.
Trustworthiness and Confidentiality
The person in this position deals with delicate matters of membership and must do so with the utmost integrity.
Dependability and Organization
The person in this position must possess a high level of organizational skills to provide timely information and schedules to Next Gen Pastor and when necessary to the Grow Pastor and Senior Pastor.
Christian Representation
The person in this position must be able to present him/herself in a professional manner in speech, action, and dress while representing First Baptist Church, Sevierville either in person or otherwise, whether on-campus or off.

4. DUTIES RELATING TO NEXT GEN MINISTRIES ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
The Next Gen Ministries include Preschool Ministry, Kids Ministry, Student Ministry, Girls Ministry, and College Ministry.
A. Provide team-oriented focus to clerical/administrative support for day-to-day operation of the Next Gen Ministries.
B. Assist in answering phones and assisting church members at desk and in the church reception office. Work with other Assistants as necessary and as assigned for church-wide events, conferences, and communications.
C. Maintain ministry files including but not limited to:
a) Check-in/out
b) Membership Software
c) Event & Programming
d) Trainings
e) Registrations
D. Ensure Pastors and Directors within the Next Gen Ministries are aware of all illnesses, deaths, hospitalizations, and milestones concerning church members and attendees and/or families associated with the Next Gen Ministries.
E. Enter, update, and maintain all purchase orders and order supplies for Next Gen Ministries including but not limited to:
a) Literature and Curriculum
b) Food, Drinks, Snacks
c) Crafts and Recreation Equipment
d) Accommodations, Transportation, Travel
e) Nursery Resources and Toys
f) Scripture Memorization Supplies
F. Ensure that all calendar requests, website, social media, and ministry graphics are posted and accurate. Work with Pastors/Directors and Communications Director/Assistant to create graphics that meet or exceed ministry standards.
G. Arrange logistics, accommodation, and supplies for all Next Gen Ministries events, retreats, camps, mission projects and journeys, and conferences.
H. Attendance at events, retreats, camps, mission projects and journeys, and conferences will vary, however, the main function of this role will be to support the Next Gen Ministries during church office hours.
I. Perform other duties as assigned.
5. GENERAL MINISTRY DUTIES
A. Participate in staff meetings and conferences/retreats as requested.
B. Meet requests for action or information in a timely and Christ-like manner, even when they are outside of the direct job description.
C. Maintain a regular schedule of office hours typically Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
D. Work in coordination with the overall mission and vision of the church by cooperating and following the leadership of the Senior Pastor.
6. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
A. High School Diploma.
B. College degree preferred but not required.
7. OTHER
A. Subject to drug testing.
B. Subject to background check.
C. Cannot have been convicted of a criminal offence, including felony or misdemeanor.
D. Must have competency with basic computer software and the ability to learn new programs.
