Ministry Village Director 
The Ministry Village Director will help people move from their point of need to hope in Christ by overseeing the daily function of our Ministry Village. The Ministry Village is a group of community centered ministries that help to meet practical needs, all while pointing people to hope in Christ. The Ministry Village Director will oversee and assess our current ministries that are already operating and will identify and carry out new ministries that further the church’s God given vision.

Organizational Relationships
This staff person serves under the supervision of the SERVE Pastor.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Build on the existing compassion ministries of First Baptist Church. Determine other ministries that should become part of the Village. Take steps to begin those ministries.
  • Develop systems for assessing the needs of those who come to FBC for assistance. Devise a holistic plan for helping each person move from their point of need to hope in Christ.
  • Determine which ministries will best meet the goals of that plan.
  • Supervise the day-to-day activities and operations of the Ministry Village.
  • Develop a team made up of the leaders of the ministries that make up the Village. Coordinate and equip this team to fulfill the Church's mission.
  • Develop and steward an annual budget for the Ministry Village.
  • Participate in the planning and design of Ministry Village facilities when necessary.
  • Recruit and equip volunteers for the various ministries.
  • Participate in providing Biblical Counseling for those who come to the Village for help.
  • Other duties as assigned by the SERVE Pastor.

Skills and Educational Requirements
  • A call to ministry. At least entry- level experience serving on a church staff. Experience as a volunteer in compassion ministries. Must have complete Biblical Counseling training and certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
