Who We Are
about us
The FBC Upward Ministry is an exciting sports-based ministry for boys and girls, Pre-K through 8th grade, using basketball and cheerleading to promote salvation, character development, and self-esteem. Through weekly practices and games, each child is given the opportunity to grow athletically, spiritually, physically, and socially as he or she develops character and an understanding of sportsmanship while also learning the fundamentals of basketball and cheerleading.
Since its beginnings at FBC in the Fall of 2003, Upward Basketball has impacted our community for Christ like we never could have imagined. Through much prayer, focus, and hard work by our many volunteers and staff, the FBC Upward Ministry has quickly become the largest in the state of Tennessee averaging 600 players and cheerleaders each season.
