On September 6th we will be continue our regular Sunday morning schedule:

8am - Praise and Worship
9:30am - The Bridge and Life Groups
11am - Praise and Worship and Life Groups
6:30pm - Sunday Evening Service

In addition on September 6th, our Nursery and Children's Ministry Life Groups will resume in-person gathering on an updated schedule. For more information on that schedule follow the link above or below.

Due to our continued process of sanitation, each service will be an hour, and the Worship Center will be closed and not reopened until 5 minutes before each service begins. We are asking all Life Groups to remain in their rooms until it is time to gather for worship. Please do not congregate in the foyer outside the worship area until it is time to enter. Thank you for your continued prayers and flexibility as we navigate this time of change.

Be sure to ask the following questions on behalf of your entire group before attending an in-person service:

* Am I showing any flu-like symptoms?
* Have I had a fever of 100.4 or higher in the past 14 days?
* Have I had prolonged exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19?
* Is there any medical reason why I believe I shouldn’t be around others?
*Have I been tested for COVID-19 but have not received the results yet?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we strongly encourage you
to continue to join us online at Sevier.church/watch

(Life Groups that choose to meet in person will coordinate with Steve Brewer to reserve a sanitized room)

What does “touchless environment" mean?

There will be no Life Groups or nursery for preschool through children. No passing of offering plates, no greeting time, no handouts, and we will remove all materials from pew racks. There will be a modified invitation with a place for those making decisions to go after the service.

What does social distancing look like in worship?

Pews will be blocked off to help follow recommended CDC distancing guidelines. Before and after worship traffic flow will be communicated and directed.

How are you sanitizing before/after each service?

All hard surfaces will be sprayed with recommended solutions, allowed to sit, and then wiped based on CDC guidelines. Also, any high traffic areas will be sanitized.

What if the service I want to attend fills up?

We will have overflow areas available starting with the Family Life Center.

Will there be kid's activities or a nursery?

Yes. On September 6th we are returning our Nursery and Children's Ministry Life Groups on an updated schedule.

Do I have to wear a face mask?

No, we are not requiring anyone to wear a face mask. We will have a face mask available if you don’t have one and would like to wear one. We will also have hand sanitizing stations available.

I’m just not ready to return to in-person services?

We completely understand. We will continue streaming on all of our platforms and encourage you to join us online.

What can I do to help?

You can help us by staying home if you are showing any flu-like symptoms, have had a fever of 100.4 or higher in the past 14 days, have had prolonged exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, and, there is any medical reason to believe you shouldn’t be around others. You can also help us by maintaining social distances of 6ft and washing or sanitizing your hands often.

What about weekday activities?

Until further notice, there will be no other in-person events taking place on campus including children’s activities, Sunday and Wednesday night activities, and services. Ministries like Helping Hands and Hot Meals for Hungry Hearts will continue to operate on the modified basis that they have been to ensure we continue to serve the community and meet needs.

What’s next?

During this time of change, we have done our best to seek the Lord’s guidance through prayer. We will continue to be flexible and will continue to monitor the recommended guidelines and recommendations from our government agencies and state convention. Basically everything else is TBD (to be determined). We want to make sure we have the best information possible to continue making the best decisions we can. Some of that will just take time. Thank you for your continued prayer and thank you for being flexible as we move forward. We can’t wait until we can all worship together again!
