Ready or Not

There is a lot we don’t know about the end times, but what Jesus does reveal to us gives us confidence that He has a plan for the future, and it gives us some signs to look for and some warnings to live by.

In Matthew 25:1-13, we are going to read a parable Jesus told about ten bridesmaids at a wedding. Remember, Jesus is only a few days away from being arrested, condemned to death, and nailed to a cross. He has been teaching His disciples about the end times.

In that teaching, Jesus repeated the idea of being alert and ready for His coming, because we don't know exactly when He will return. Let's look at four surprises from this parable.
