The Lord has Really Risen!

Would someone as awesome and as wonderful as Jesus really give His life for us? Yes! The love of God is that good. He loves us just like we are, but He loves us so much that He won’t leave us like we are. He wants to change us to be what we thought we could never be – through His Son Jesus Christ, when we believe that He died on the cross for us and rose from the dead. All our hope as Christians hinges on the fact of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. If we have never come to grips with that truth personally, may today be the day!

In Luke 24, we find that very early on Sunday morning after Jesus died on the cross on Friday, some of the women who had followed Jesus went to the tomb to wrap the body of the Lord. They were going to give Him a proper burial, redoing what Nicodemus and Joseph had done in a hurry when they had unfastened Jesus from the cross and quickly placed Him in the tomb on Friday evening.
