Decision Time on the Mountain
Here at the conclusion of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, He brings the people to a decision time. They have heard the truth. Now, He calls for a decision – and it is a decision for us, too. It is a hard-hitting passage. It is very direct. It has a sharp edge to it. We need to hear it that way. So, get ready.
As we read Matthew 7:13-23, listen for the clear choice Jesus sets before us. There are two directions your life can go: one leads to Heaven, the other leads to hell. There are two voices you can listen to: one false and one true. There are two religions that promise Heaven: one based on personal effort and the other based on a personal relationship.
Life is a journey leading you to one of two destinations: life in Heaven or destruction in hell. Which will you choose?
