In Matthew 6, Jesus gathered His followers and began to teach them what following Him should really look like. He taught that righteous acts can have wrong motivation.


That includes how we pray. Our hearts should always be motivated by love and not vain repetitions. Now that we know what not to do, let’s look at what we are to do.


In Verses 8-15, Jesus outlines how we are supposed to pray every time we approach our Heavenly Father. And even though most of us have heard and recited this prayer many times, we should look with new eyes as we study this text and the example Jesus gave us. So, lean in and let’s see what Jesus would have us to learn from this very familiar portion of Scripture.
