No Worries

In this series, we are looking at one of the most important sections of the Bible, the “Sermon on the Mount.” This is where Jesus lays out His vision for what life is going to be like in His Kingdom. For the people who first heard Jesus preach this, they realized that what He taught was not just informative – it was transformative. It hit different than the teaching of their religious leaders.

And if Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount hit different in 30 AD, it does even more so in 2025! Because Jesus calls us to a radically different way of life that goes the opposite way from the rest of the world. An important aspect of that is living a life of faith and confidence in the Lord and not worrying about your life.

Stop and think for a minute. Do you know a worrier? Or would you be willing to admit that you are the biggest worrier in your family? Jesus has a word for worriers in Matthew 6:25-34. He uses that word worry 6 times in this passage. Let’s make sure we know what He was NOT talking about, and what He WAS talking about.
