The Crowd of 5,000

The Gospel of Mark is the shortest of the four Gospels, which makes it fast paced and filled with action. All throughout this book of the Bible, we see Jesus moving at the speed of compassion as He ministers, shares with, and loves on people. He heals sicknesses and diseases, helps the blind to see and the deaf to hear, casts out demons, and walks on water. Jesus is constantly meeting the physical needs in order to meet spiritual needs.

In this session, we will be looking at Jesus as He feeds the 5,000. This miracle is so life-changing that it is one of only two miracles that are mentioned in all four Gospels. The only other one mentioned is the resurrection of Jesus.

As we read Mark 6:30-44, we will find that people were looking to Jesus to be satisfied, both physically and spiritually. Question for you . . . what do you run to thinking it will satisfy? Let's find three truths about Jesus in this passage.
