Priests: Approaching God His Way

The Bible is not written for our entertainment, but for building our faith and setting up the climax of the Gospel story. This section, about the clothing and ordination of the priests that served in the Tabernacle, is setting up the dominos that Jesus is going to knock down for us! We need to see the setup in order to appreciate how they fall into the shape of Jesus.

Of all the subjects covered in the Bible, none is covered in more detail than the construction of the Tabernacle and the clothing of the priests. The creation of the world gets 2 chapters, the instructions for the Tabernacle and the priests gets 50!

As we look at Exodus Chapters 28 and 29, we will see how specific God was in His instructions to one family of the Levites who would be the family of high priests: Aaron and his sons.
