How to Have Victory Over Temptation

The Book of Exodus records the historical account of God rescuing His people from 400 years of slavery in Egypt. But when the Israelite people were set free, they didn’t know how to live in the freedom God gave them. God had to teach them how to be free. We are no different.

As we look at Israel and the temptations they faced, we must remember that all of us face temptations. We are not immune. We have an enemy coming against us who wants us to take our eyes off Jesus. Temptation is around every corner for us, just like it was for the Israelites.

But God’s Word tells us that we are to be ready. We are to plan for when we are faced with temptation. In this session, we will be look at 1 Corinthians 10:12-14. Then we will return to Exodus in the next session.
