Let My People Go
Sometimes things get hard when we try to live for the Lord. We expect that if we are obeying the Lord and serving Him, everything will be easy. But God didn’t promise that to us. In Exodus Chapter 5, Moses found out God didn’t promise that to him either.
When God calls us to step out in faith and obey Him in some way, what we expect is immediate success. But what we get is often opposition and resistance. Sometimes even when we know we are doing the Lord’s will, the situation actually deteriorates. It leaves us frustrated and questioning, “God, I’m committed to You – are You still committed to me?”
Only God sees the total picture of His will and understands how He is sovereignly working to accomplish His plan. We need to learn to trust Him even when the circumstances go from bad to worse. That’s what Moses had to learn. From his example, we are going to learn some surprises about the way God works His plan. Please find Exodus 5.
